These regions are especially vulnerable to global environmental changes but also offer a unique potential to study these transformations and implement innovative sustainability strategies, providing local solutions to global challenges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"587\" data-end=\"907\">As part of <strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"704\">COST Action CA21166 \u2013 Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience (SHiFT)<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"740\">Islands for Sustainability<\/strong> initiative aims to integrate critical practices, transdisciplinary collaboration, and community engagement to address the complex dynamics of island sustainability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"954\"><strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"952\">Travel and Subsistence Grants Available<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"978\">Why Participate?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1322\">This initiative seeks to build networks that transcend disciplinary silos, ensuring that marginalized voices, local knowledge, and participatory methods are integrated into broader sustainability frameworks. By participating, you will contribute to shaping new pathways for resilience, social innovation, and sustainable futures for islands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1523\">Join us in <strong data-start=\"1335\" data-end=\"1436\">co-creating knowledge, amplifying underrepresented perspectives, and fostering new collaborations<\/strong> that strengthen climate resilience and sustainability in island and coastal regions.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1525\" data-end=\"1544\">Participation<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1841\">We welcome <strong data-start=\"1556\" data-end=\"1590\">original and diverse proposals<\/strong> exploring sustainability, conservation, and cultural heritage in island ecosystems.
