On 13 May, the manager of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, was a keynote speaker at the SELINA Workshop, held at the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada.<\/p>\n

The speech, which was part of Action E2: Technical dissemination, transfer and replication of the project, was an opportunity to share the work carried out in the Azores in the field of nature conservation with representatives of various organisations from several European Member States.<\/p>\n

Under the theme \u2018Implementing Conservation in the Azores: Challenges and Solutions from LIFE IP AZORES NATURA\u2019, the presentation highlighted the main challenges faced and the solutions implemented in the archipelago to protect biodiversity and restore ecosystems.<\/p>\n

The SELINA Workshop, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims to support decisions based on scientific evidence for the protection, restoration and sustainable use of the environment. Through collaboration between experts from 50 partner organisations from the 27 EU member states and Norway, Switzerland, Israel and the United Kingdom, the SELINA project promotes the conservation of ecosystem and biodiversity services, setting new standards for international cooperation.<\/p>\n

Participation in this event reinforces the commitment of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, a project coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, to disseminate good practices, exchange experiences, and strengthen networks dedicated to nature conservation.<\/p>\n
