Despite successive thefts of posts and vandalism of the fence being installed in the Caveiro area on Pico island, the Pico Environment and Climate Action Service, as part of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, continues to work towards excluding livestock from the project\u2019s intervention areas. This measure aims to contribute to the regeneration of natural habitats<\/em>, such as peat bogs, where species protected by the Habitats Directive occur.<\/p>\n

This work is part of Action C4.1 of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, which aims to implement good practices for the conservation of terrestrial habitats<\/em>.<\/p>\n
