As part of the work carried out on the island of Flores by LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, the team from the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Action identified a new individual of Euphrasia azorica<\/em> in peak flowering, located near the project’s intervention area.<\/p>\n

This point was not in the existing database, which represents a significant contribution to the knowledge and monitoring of this endemic species of the Azores, considered of great importance for the conservation of the Archipelago’s biodiversity.<\/p>\n

This action is part of action C3 \u2013 Implementation of pilot work for the conservation of endemic flora (in-situ<\/em> and ex-situ<\/em> conservation) of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, reinforcing the importance of this type of intervention for the protection and enhancement of endemic and protected flora.<\/p>\n
