The programme forms part of the Action Plan for Marine Litter in the Azores (PALMA) and is aligned with the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and OSPAR.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>690 actions recorded between 2015 and 2025<\/li>\n<li>14,036 volunteers mobilised<\/li>\n<li>115,744 kg of waste collected<\/li>\n<li>Focus for 2025: 91 actions | 1,968 volunteers | 11,313 kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report highlights the importance of consistent records and the usefulness of the data for identifying hotspots, guiding interventions, and supporting prevention and mitigation measures.<\/p>\n<p>The report can be consulted, and your action record submitted via the Marine Litter Portal: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lixomarinho.azores.gov.pt\">www.lixomarinho.azores.gov.pt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to remind you of the importance of submitting records using the forms available on the Marine Litter Portal, ensuring the quality and comparability of the data, which are essential for regional reporting under the MSFD\/OSPAR framework and for the continuous improvement of actions across the Region.<\/p>\n<p>This programme of voluntary campaigns forms part of the objectives of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action and Circularocean (INTERREG MAC 2021-2027).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":24818,"template":"","class_list":["post-24820","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Coastal clean-up campaigns \u2013 Updated technical report - LIFE IP Azores Natura<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"The updated technical report on the programme for monitoring voluntary coastal and underwater clean-up campaigns in the Azores is now available.
