The La Palma Biosphere Reserve, partner of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, developed a few weeks ago a workshop aimed at the identification of invasive or potentially invasive plants, with the support of the Environment and Emergencies Department of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma. The said workshop, tutored by the botanist Miguel Antonio Padr\u00f3n Mederos, was also backed by the Canary Islands’ Early Warning Network for the detection of Invasive Alien Species (RedEXOS). <\/span><\/p>\n

The event gathered 25 professionals (agents, guides and technical staff) belonging to Cabildo Insular de La Palma, Caldera de Taburiente National Park, Customs and Guardia Civil. In the latter case, attendees belonged to both the Nature Protection Squad (SEPRONA) and the Tax and Customs service, in charge of border inspection duties.<\/span><\/p>\n
