Following the conservation work carried out by LIFE IP AZORES NATURA at Pico do Carv\u00e3o, island of S\u00e3o Miguel, namely work to remove invasive species, there was a need to plant native species in this location to occupy the sites released by the invasive species removed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Thus, under Action E5 of the project \u201cPublic engagement and volunteering program\u201d and in partnership with the S\u00e3o Miguel Environment and Climate Change Service, was promoted a volunteer action open to the community with the participation of seven volunteers, three tourists and also some representatives of the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o para a Promo\u00e7\u00e3o e Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental dos A\u00e7ores (APPAA \u2013 Association for the Promotion and Environmental Protection of the Azores), where about 300 individuals of Firetree (\ud835\ude14\ud835\ude30\ud835\ude33\ud835\ude26\ud835\ude2d\ud835\ude2d\ud835\ude22 \ud835\ude27\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude3a\ud835\ude22) were planted.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This site will continue to require monitoring and maintenance as invasive species, namely the Chilean Rhubarb (\ud835\ude0e\ud835\ude36\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude26\ud835\ude33\ud835\ude22 \ud835\ude35\ud835\ude2a\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude24\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude30\ud835\ude33\ud835\ude2a\ud835\ude22), will continue to appear.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
