Students from Switzerland’s International School of Zug and Lucern were on the island of S\u00e3o Miguel, volunteering at Pico do Carv\u00e3o to remove invasive species, namely Chilean Rhubarb (Gunnera tinctoria<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Over two days, 32 students and three teachers removed 3.76 tonnes of this species in collaboration with the S\u00e3o Miguel Environment and Climate Change Service.<\/p>\n

This activity is part of action E5 \u201cPublic Involvement and Volunteer Programme\u201d of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project.<\/p>\n
