As part of the celebrations for International Natural Parks Day, 15 students from Olhar Poente – Development Association took part in an initiative to plant endemic species within the project area of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, at Lagoa do Negro on the island of Terceira.
The initiative gave the young people direct contact with the natural environment and helped raise their awareness of the importance of conserving native flora and restoring habitats, reinforcing their role in protecting and promoting the natural heritage of the Azores. With the financial support of the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
