In early September, the Nossa Senhora dos Anjos Children’s Home in Fajã de Baixo took part in a volunteering initiative, in collaboration with the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project and the São Miguel Environment and Climate Action Service.

The activity involved 14 children and young people and eight supervisors, who gained first-hand insight into the project’s conservation work and helped remove invasive species and plant endemic species in the Lagoa do Carvão area on the island of São Miguel.
