The EU4Ocean Coalition announces the 2025 edition of its Call for Collective Actions, supporting innovative projects that strengthen ocean literacy in Europe. Under the theme “Be a blue citizen: Embracing democracy for thriving oceans and rivers,” this initiative encourages community engagement, sustainability, and active citizenship in aquatic ecosystem protection.
Proposals must address the Challenge of the Year and show tangible local impact. Up to 5 projects will be funded, with a maximum EU4Ocean support of €20,000 per project.
Eligible applicants:
• Members of the EU4Ocean Platform, Youth4Ocean Forum, and European Blue Schools Network
• Individuals or organizations interested may participate as project partners
Main selection criteria:
- Co-creation and collective learning
- Replicability and long-term sustainability
- Innovation in methods, tools, or target audiences
- Relevance and impact on ocean literacy
Applications:
Applications must be submitted in English, including both the technical and financial parts, by 18:00 (CET) on May 16, 2025, using the form available on the official EU4Ocean website.
Financial support:
Up to €20,000 per project. Co-financing is encouraged by ambitious proposals.
