Objective: To create a small grant facility for projects in the EU’s Outermost Regions (OR) and Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) on biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and the sustainable use of ecosystem services, including ecosystem-based approaches to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

 

Scope: Further unlock the local potential for biodiversity action in the EU ORs and OCTs, and foster the implementation of concrete conservation activities in these areas to protect nature and reverse ecosystem degradation.

 

Expected Impact: The scheme is expected to have a substantial, concrete and measurable impact in terms of biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, capacity building, awareness raising, etc. Applicants will elaborate on this specific aspect by estimating and describing the potential impacts of the small grants they expect to manage.
