The European Commission has launched two calls for proposals with a combined budget of nearly €5 million to strengthen societal resilience and increase the reach and societal impact of verified content produced in the EU.

The first call, with a total amount of €3.15 million, will fund projects focused on detecting malicious information manipulation campaigns, as well as analyzing the impact of online disinformation on citizens, while also developing concrete responses to enhance societal resilience.

The second call for proposals, with a budget of approximately €1.6 million, will support projects aimed at increasing the reach and impact of content produced by independent fact-checking organizations in the EU through creative strategies and media formats. Projects should engage with media outlets, content creators, influencers, and podcasters to produce and disseminate content.

The deadline for submitting applications for both calls is June 16. Applications may be submitted by civil society organizations, universities, and research centers, among others. Selected projects will collaborate with the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO).
