06/05/2025 The Representation of the European Commission in Portugal has published a call for proposals for the selection of partner entities to operate EUROPE DIRECT centres for the 2026–2030 period.
The primary mission of the EUROPE DIRECT centres is to bring the European Union closer to citizens by explaining its initiatives, promoting dialogue, and encouraging active participation in building the European project at the local and regional levels.
The deadline for submitting applications is July 8, 2025, at 16:00 (Lisbon time). The official call for proposals and the respective annexes, including the applicant’s guide, are available on this page.
Eligible applicants are legal entities established in Portugal that fall into one of the following categories: public bodies (such as municipalities or other local and regional authorities); private bodies with a public service mission; federations or associations of local authorities; non-profit organizations; associations and foundations; civil society organizations; social partners; educational or training institutions.
