The LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, in collaboration with the Graciosa Environment and Climate Action Service, has been working to improve the conservation status of seabird species nesting on Ilhéu da Praia, on the island of Graciosa, namely through the installation of artificial nests, to create better conditions for nesting.
In May, the SAAC of Graciosa participated in the ‘Islands for Sustainability’ event, which was attended by several speakers united by a common goal: to promote sustainability in island contexts. At this event, the conservation work on Ilhéu da Praia was one of the topics addressed and discussed.
This participation is part of Action E2 of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, dedicated to the dissemination, transfer and replication of the project’s actions.
