An information session promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, as part of the LIFE BEETLES, LIFE IP CLIMAZ, LIFE SNAILS and LIFE IP AZORES NATURA projects, took place on 8 May, as part of Invasive Species Week 2025.

The session, aimed at employees of local councils and other public management bodies, was attended by around 60 participants and addressed the issue of managing invasive alien species and the importance of preserving endemic and native species. During the session, the growing need to promote the gardening of public spaces with endemic species that are characteristic of our Region to the detriment of the use of alien species was also emphasised.
