The São Miguel Nature Park Advisory Board was held in May, where, as usual, the progress of the actions carried out under the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project was presented.
On the island of São Miguel, the project is working in Lagoa do Fogo and Serra da Tronqueira, the latter through the associated beneficiary, SPEA, to improve habitats and conserve native and endemic species.
The participation of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project in the Advisory Boards of the Nature Parks on each island is part of action F4 (Stakeholder Advisory Board) of the project. It is an essential tool for the consultants to monitor the management and implementation of the actions on each of the islands. It also makes it possible to gather feedback from the different stakeholders on the work carried out, publicise essential tools such as new funding notices and raise awareness of the importance of nature conservation and the threats it faces.
