During their visit to the island of Corvo, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project team took part in the Biosphere Reserves Festival, organised by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, and attended the opening session held at the Vila do Corvo Town Hall.

As part of this event, three sessions of the ‘Dobble Invasoras’ game were organised at the Mouzinho da Silveira Primary and Secondary School, with the participation of 52 students and 3 teachers, as well as the presentation of a guide to good gardening practices without invasive plants.

During the visit, the project also met with the director and operational assistants of Corvo Environment and Climate Action Service to assess the status of the conservation actions planned for the island and align the following steps to be taken.

This trip is part of the following project actions:

– Action C11 – Pilot project for the prevention and rapid response to invasive species on the island of Corvo

– Action E4 – Environmental Education Programme
