At the beginning of June, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, visited the island of Flores with the game Dobble Invasoras, promoting activities in schools to mark Environment Day. During this visit, several activities were organised with primary and secondary school students, presenting the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project to the younger ones and addressing the issue of invasive alien species with the school community.
Dobble Invasoras is a card game that challenges participants to identify invasive species of flora and fauna present in the Azores. The activity focuses on the main characteristics of these species, their methods of propagation and the threats they pose to biodiversity in the Azores.
