As part of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, through the Environment and Climate Action Service of the island of Pico, 161 specimens of Ammi seubertianum were recently planted in the Ribeirinha area of the island of Pico, a species endemic to the Azores and protected by the Habitats Directive.

This action is part of Action C3.2 – In-situ conservation. It represents an essential contribution to improving the conservation status of the species, ensuring the viability of its population in this area.

The plants were produced at the Faial Botanic Garden from seeds collected on the island of Pico.
