The LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, took part in a training session for teachers organised by the LEVERs project, which took place at Expolab – Centro de Ciência Viva, in Lagoa, on the island of São Miguel.

During the session, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action’s educational activities were presented, highlighting the resources and opportunities available to support environmental education in schools across the Region. The session also included the presentation and facilitation of the game ‘Dobble Invasoras’, an educational tool that, in a fun and interactive way, promotes knowledge of invasive alien species present in the Azores and their impacts on natural ecosystems.

This initiative provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between projects and organisations working in the fields of nature conservation, environmental education and raising awareness amongst the school community.

This participation forms part of Action E3 – Networking with LIFE projects and other projects under the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA programme, contributing to the sharing of knowledge, experiences and best practices in support of biodiversity conservation in the Azores.
