What are we intending to do
On this area, and in both projects timeline (LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and LIFE BEETLES), we intend to:
• Install cattle exclusion fences;
• Remove exotic and invasive flora species (such as Rubus ulmifolius, Polygonum capitatum, Erigeron karvinskianus);
• Plant of native species that occur naturally in this area (such as Ilex perado subsp. azorica, Juniperus brevifolia, Vaccinium cylindraceum, Myrsine retusa, and Calluna vulgaris) in the areas of invasive flora removal.
