Open Fund

Applications are open until 4 September 2026 for the European Commission’s paid Blue Book Traineeship Programme, one of the European Union’s most prestigious traineeship schemes.

Starting in March and October, the Commission offers two annual traineeship sessions in the fields of administration and translation, each lasting five months.

The traineeships are open to university graduates from all academic backgrounds and, for the first time, also to graduates of vocational education and training (VET) programmes. This expansion broadens access to the opportunity and recognises the value of different learning pathways across Europe.

Applications must be submitted by 4 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m. (Brussels time) via this page.

You can also find on this page information on eligibility criteria, equal opportunities, the application timeline, testimonials, and other relevant details.
