This project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, participated in one more advisory board within the Action F4 “Stakeholder and Advisory board”, this time on Flores island, aiming to present the works carried out until now.
It is noteworthy the several prospection works that resulted in the detection of the species 𝘈𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘴 and 𝘐𝘴𝘰𝘦̈𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘻𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢, the latter being a rare aquatic fern priority for conservation.
Still in the framework of the project’s conservation actions, were removed until now about 5 tons of invasive alien species on the project’s intervention areas, and carried out a weed clean-out at Rocha dos Bordões between March and April 2022.
