What are we intending to do

The project will carry out a set of tasks to improve the ecological recovery of the bog:
– Eradication of scattered exotic trees (Cryptomeria japonica, Acacia melanoxylon) through standing death;
– Felling of the Cryptomeria japonica production stand and conversion of this area into native forest;
– Installation of herbivore exclusion fences in areas with rare herbaceous species;
– Removal of exotic and invasive species, such as Hedychium gardnerianum, Rubus ulmifolius, and Hydrangea macrophylla;
– Reinforcement plantings within populations of rare herbaceous species, such as Ammi trifoliatum, Lactuca watsoniana, and Euphorbia stygiana.
