The La Palma Biosphere Reserve, partner of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, continues the conservation works on the island of La Palma, this time, near the Manolo Blahnik Art School, where an activity was promoted.
The support of the Employment Service of the Cabildo de La Palma (FDCAN Plan de Empleo Social Control de Rabogato) allowed an interesting collaboration between the 1st year students and the rest of the school community.
Together, teachers and maintenance technicians recovered a flowerbed severely infested with invasive species, which were removed and replaced with endemic species.
This restoration was possible thanks to the Environmental Department of the Cabildo de La Palma, which provided the endemic plants through the Native Flora Nursery.
With the financial support of the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
