At the beginning of March, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project attended the 15th Regional Meeting on Environmental Education, which took place at the Escola Secundária Jerónimo Emiliano de Andrade, Terceira island, under the theme “Environmental Education as a pillar of sustainable development”.
This meeting, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, was a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experiences among some educational agents, technicians linked to the areas of environment and environmental education and the project team itself.
LIFE IP AZORES NATURA participated in this meeting, through a round table with the managers of all LIFE projects coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, which addressed the main actions of each LIFE project and the role of environmental education in the successful implementation of LIFE projects.
There was also room for the promotion of two workshops by the project, one entitled “Where do the bats live”, where one of the target species of the project, the Azorean Bat (𝘕𝘺𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘻𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘮), was addressed, and another workshop “Playing is also learning”, where a didactic game about invasive species was presented, the Invasive Species Dobble of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA.
